Why is it so hard at times….

To just stay away from, not crave, not want the foods you know aren’t good for you? Why is it so hard at times to just do what you know you should? Why is the brain weak when in your heart you know better? Why does your body sing “I want candy” even when you don’t really like candy? Is it because twice this week I didn’t follow the plan? Is it because I had some ice-cream for Mike’s birthday? Is it because I had chips with our picnic? Is it because I had a steak and baked potato and veggies in butter sauce? Is it going to be like starting all over again?

Fell of the wagon, nope…just didn’t follow the plan every single day. Didn’t gain weight, didn’t lose weigh. Did lose inches though but that doesn’t help the scale. My clothes are getting too big again, the 16’s are hanging, the 14’s are fitting much nicer but still the scale isn’t moving. 7 lbs in February, not much still something.

Tomorrow I’ll post more. But for now, it is what it is.

Sleep well my friends and God Bless you all!

Hang in there, Julie. I'm struggling as well with trying to continue doing what I know I SHOULD be doing. I'm fight the "DON'T CARE" monster right now. Kind of like diet burnout. I just would like to be able to let up a little but I know that is the wrong road to take.
Blessings.

Please don't beat yourself up. You did not gain, that is the important fact..you maintained! Even with going off your plan, you maintained your weight. I think that is wonderful. You enjoyed Mike's birthday, you had a yummy steak dinner and you maintained your weight!
A new week is starting, get back on your plan and be proud of your success last week..you lost inches and did not gain.
Blessings,
Shawn

I've been beating myself up too. It's not going to do either of us any good. Lets just stick to the plan and continue to eat healthy. Whether we lose pounds, inches or both, it's still the right way to do it! I've been losing inches too but just not the pounds! Better than nothing! :-)

Slow and steady, Julie. Remember we are all just humans and are not perfect. You might want to think about working towards a treat or two a week so you do not feel deprived. I find it easier to stay the course when I am planning for a treat. Might work for you, too. It is a long haul, this journey. I think the hardest part, at least for me, is right in the middle, when you have a bunch of weight to lose and are just getting weary of it all. SO, be kind to yourself build some treats in and keep your exercise up. You are doing great!

Looks like u have plateaued... Try a new routine or amp up whatever machine u use.. I had to do that ..I went from the stairmaster to the ellipticals where I get a better all over body workout.. Its low impact and definitely is a great workout for your core.. Try that, Julie, believe me, it works.. I am toned- torso, butt and legs. and remember the food thing is all in your head... Gotta remember that what u put in your mouth effects your body- organs and blood sugar level...think of it that way...

Don't get down, we all have our "too snug" days in our jeans. I definitely had a bad WEEKEND. *ashamed* At least you didn't eat... pizza. :( I had three slices in the last two days!

If you find the answer to the question, post another blog and let us know why. I think it has something to do with endorphins when we eat certain foods.

I do great during the week and fall off on the weekends. I am about to make homemade pizza with lots of veggies and it is nice out so I am going for a walk!

Boo. I don't like my friend sad. You eat all the chips you want. You will still be fitter because you're exercising with so much dedication.

I'm sending you some more hugs.
