Burning extra calories….

Photo-0101

Now this has got to be worth a bit more then just biking at a moderate pace. We went for a ride last night, about a mile and a half and today about 2 miles. Justin, the little boy on the bike, is loving this. He usually isn’t allowed on the road but see how he’s riding the white line? Well as long as he follows directions then we’ll continue this. Hannah will soon be big enough to take a bike too and then Joss will be in the bike seat but for the time being this is working, really working!

Day 2 Phase 6, not perfect but not bad either. I fixed roasted veggies for my husbands store lunch tomorrow and ate a couple raw carrots before I knew what I was doing and then ended up tasting the sweet potatoes when cooked. So maybe 50 calories extra…and I think that’s pushing it a bit. I know people do this everyday, cooking and not tasting, well for me to feed the daycare, family, a business…I am tasting but learning a tongue taste works as well when you don’t swallow what you’ve tasted…that is except the veggies…I swallowed today.

Tomorrow no baking or extra cooking. It’ll be a perfect day plus it’s library day so I won’t be home all morning. And if all goes well I’m heading to the gym after daycare. Tonight Brenda and I are going to walking as fast as we can the 5K course. I’m hoping to beat the 51 minutes we did last year. On the treadmill I can, on gravel, tar and grass, well we’ll see.

So there’s my update today. I hope you all are doing well. Not easy but possible as long as your brain is working at the same time as you are. Take care and have a blessed afternoon.

That is WAY more exercise than I'm gonna get. Actually, I am planning on running up the stairs of my house once.

I can't even walk a 5k yet. My legs could give out I'm sure. I need to get some moving in though. I will try my best to get on the bike tomorrow. I'm not doing that great on the challenge.

I can't wait to get on my bike this year! Jeeves is getting over his fears and gave me the go ahead to buy a kid wagon for the back of my bike. Were looking on Craigslist to find a good deal. I can't wait to tote the munches around.

You look like you are having fun there lady, go Julie!

I can't walk 5K yet either. I did get my legs strong enough that I can walk longer. When I started, I could only do 10 mins before my bad knee and ankle pained me. I can walk 30 to 45 mins, depending on how brisk a pace, before the ankle and knee pain me. Progress!

I love the pic. Three on a bike. And how adorable the little ones are. Oh, I want me a cute lil girl to bike with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your balance is amazing. I think I'd topple. ; )

Keep at it. Strength and balance are beautiful things...
