Someone was right…

I don’t know who said it but they were right. And all along I thought someone had their head up their butt, that no way would that ever happen but it did, it does and I am surprise and willing to admit I was wrong.

You want to know what it is? That exercise is addicting. That jogging is fun and that working out makes you feel good. Now I still have to complain about the crunches, I HATE THEM!!! But if I can learn to love the rest maybe that will happen someday.

Tonight I went and worked out, I had to miss yesterday and I felt terrible missing that day. I usually try and get in 3-4 times a week in at the gym. Heck I’m paying the big bucks to go so I might as well use them. So tonight I picked up my best bud and we went and worked hard. I jogged (I’d like to call it running but I’m sure 4.6 isn’t fast enough for running), I started out with 3 minutes warm up and then I jogged 13 minutes straight, rested 2 and then did another 10, rested 2 (resting means for me walking at 3.4 or so) and then another 10 minutes to finish my 5K. I did this in 40:11. Not my greatest time but my best jogging. I am happy. I worked with the weight machines and then Brenda and I went to the private workout room and did some major floor exercises. YUCK!!! I do not like floor exercises but I did them along with some jumping rope and exercise ball workout. I’m getting there guys, I’m learning.

I’ve been eating right, sleeping at least 6-7 hours a night, drinking 150 or more ounces of water and working out. Plus….yep for this week there’s a plus. We had 3 cords of wood delivered on Monday and I’ve been working on getting that carried and stacked in the wood shed. I think one more day and I’ll have it all done. I only do it for 30-45 minutes each day because like crunches, carrying wood isn’t my favorite thing to do but it’s necessary.

I am excited to see what my weigh in brings this weekend. I have been sneaking a lot of peeks because, well with the new scale right by the toilet I see it a lot during the day. Did you know your body really fluxes a lot during the day in weight. Mine is anywhere from 3-6 lbs different, depending on if I had just eaten, if I hadn’t pooped, it’s 5am or 10pm. I’m having fun with the scale even though it still pisses me off it is 5 lbs different then the Wii. Oh well, can’t change that part so might as well give that bone away.

So it’s onward and upwards. I am off tomorrow, in fact I don’t work now until Monday. 3 days off, 2 of them I’m going to go to the gym but one to work out and one to swim unless Mike and I decided to go moonlight skiing, then I think I’ll skip Saturdays swimming. Don’t want to be too tired to enjoy skiing.

I hope you all are having amazing weeks. Not just in the weight loss part, more in the life style journey part. It is exciting learning all these new things, noticing different things on your body you haven’t seen in ages, or was sagging, or was just to big. I found my rib cage this week, it’s cool. I can feel the ribs…all of them and I don’t have to dig deep to find them. I can flex my arms and see muscles. Oh I still have bat wings, a tummy that will take forever to tone up and some chub in the back but it’s shrinking. It’s exciting and I am falling in love with my new body. It’s been forever since I would even think something like that. I can’t remember a time that I’ve excepted myself like I am now. Maybe it’s the age, maybe it’s just the fact I’m giving it my all to become a better me, a healthier me. I don’t know but I’ll take it. I hope you will too.

Take care my friend and have a blessed night sleep. Remember we are truly blessed in thousands of ways. Start counting them tonight but don’t stay awake too long. You will sleep so much better with those thoughts. God bless you all!!
