100 days…

What is 100 days you asked? That’s all that’s left in this year, 100 days until 2011. 100 days to reach any goals you’ve set for this year. That means just 100 days for me to lose 20 lbs. You know mostly this isn’t about the weight loss though, it’s about all the lessons I’ve learned this year on my life style change.

Now every day I get something great in my e-box. I get Debbi Does Dieting... My Dieting Diary and today was exceptional great. Debbie has showed me a new challenge, a new idea, a new way to remember that there’s just a short time before 2010 is over and 2011 is on it’s way.

South Beach Steve has offered to host a super cool idea and challenge.

Remember when I said I wanted a challenge? Well this is it. There’s a few rules and incentives too, like prizes. Go Here and read, think and join. Gotta hurry though since tomorrow is the start of 100 days to 2011, but you do have until October 1st to join but you want all the 100 days to work on this.

My part of the joining is to post 3 goals I want to achieve before December 31st, 2010, post at least weekly, and read, comment on others that are joining in on this challenge. I can do this.

There are other places I try and join in on a weekly bases, there’s Angie at her Healthy Living Blog and her Watch My Weight Wednesday and there’s Charlie at Back to the Fridge and his train to Onderland.

So my goals that I want to achieve or keep working on this year are….

1. Lose the last 20 lbs of the 45 I wanted to lose this year. But to do this I need to do….

2. Exercise regularly. Right now I’ve been walking 4 miles a day, 4 times a week but I need to do more, not in the walking part, because other then speeding it up just a bit more I think that has been great. I need to work on my core muscles. I need to do those crunches. I need to find some exercises that work the cord muscles without bothering my back so. I want to get rid of the bat wings too.

3. Since I’m not a snacker anymore, thank goodness I need to put more thought in our meals. With both my hubby and son eating huge meals at lunch time at work and not coming home hungry until quite late I need to plan my day accordingly. I have daycare and some of the stuff they love is not on my list of eating possibilities. So I need to plan better. So really that means meal plans, that’s one of my goals.

So in a nut shell, if I exercise and plan my meals with healthy foods then my #1 will just happen. The last 20 lbs should leave.

So there you have it guys, gals, everyone… Go Here and read, fall in love and join this challenge. It’ll be good for you, it’ll be good for me, it’ll be great for our bodies.

Good luck and you know, if you do join, would you please stop by and tell me you did so I can be positive to watch, listen, learn and support you all the way. I try to do this already but I know I’m not as good as I’d like to be on all you that follow me. I do sure appreciate all that you’ve talked me in your comments.

Take care and God Bless!!!

Want to firm up your arms and core? the elliptical did wonders for me plus its low impact.. my butt and legs are all firm.. for me it took about two months for me...2X a week at 45 min... on level 14... i found if i did more than that i was developing too much muscle... i also walk uphill @ a fast pace the other days of the week.
