I passed!!!!

Now according to the doctors scale I weighted 204.4 but I did weigh myself and measure before I headed to the doctors and I was 201. I wrote down, for the doctor, my weight month by month along with my waist changes and he really was nice and impressed and supportive. Since I have been using my scale for all of my weigh loss so far the doctor went by my numbers. He signed off on all the requirements and also I have no limitations, I can even go scuba diving if I wanted too.

You know how happy I am, I’m so happy and relieved. Now it’s on to the next goal. My big goal is still 180 by the first of the year but I should set a goal before that so here’s what I’m thinking. There are 5 months to go and I have 21 lbs to go, that’s 4.2 lbs a month so that means by Halloween I should be down another 10 lbs. I want to be down the extra pound this month for an even 200 for my August weigh-in.

I have some physical goals I want to meet too. Brenda and I have been walking together the past couple of weeks and we have a hill on our walk that we are going to run up. It’s a big hill and goes for about 1/4 of a mile and so far I can run up 1/2 of it. I know it’s not far but it’s a start. So by time fall rolls around I will be able to run that hill. I’m also up to walking 2.5 miles in 35 minutes and would like to increase the distant another mile or so.

I now have a questions. Since I live in Minnesota and winter is cold, icy and hard to get outside to exercise in, which would be better?  A treadmill or a Wii? Really I can’t afford either but if it’s possible which would be the best to keep the weight off and the goal going? I probably will end up just doing what I’ve done so far but I like  to hear your thoughts and ideas.

So now it’s onward and upwards to another pound loss this week and another few inches.

How are you doing this week? I know, it’s a new week but got any goals to share, ideas to teach, thoughts about it all?

Oh my BP was 120/74 and my pulse was 76. I had my blood drawn for my thyroid and cholesterol and when that comes back I’ll share that.

Take care my friends and thank, thank you so very much for all your love and support. God Bless you all!!

Way to go...make sure you pat yourself on the back a few times...but do it while you are walking so you can keep reaching for your ultimate goal :-)

I admire you for your determination & hard work. I need to lose about 80-90 lb. I can't exercise b/c it kills my back! So I'm just trying to lose down by cutting back on what I eat.

I don't know anything about the Wii, but wanted to tell you that maybe you can afford a used treadmill. That's what we've got; got it from my stepdaughter who was selling it.

God bless you in your endeavors!

Beth, I can't reply to your note or anything but wanted you to know that I too have a terrible back, that degenerate disease and that is why I can only really do the walking, biking, tennis type stuff. I try and do the fish flopping exercises on the floor and am very careful on which exercises I do. I use to be on Celebrex but my insurance quit paying for it so I'm back on my own with nothing. So I understand the back pain. You do your best on what you can do, pick and choose the exercises you can handle and work with them. Thank you so much for stopping by. Everyone else too. You all take care and God Bless!!!

Congratulations, that is so wonderful! What a great affirmation for all your hard work!

I recently bought a treadmill on Craigslist for $50, so just keep your eyes open. That was all our budget allowed for and after a few weeks of watching, one in our price range came up!

I say treadmill 100%. The wii is grat for fun, but I personally don't like video game workouts, they annoy me - but maybe that's just me.

And congrats too BTW :)
